VERNAL FLING: Ginsberg Stewardship Award

One of the highlights of Vernal Fling is the annual awards celebration. For more than a decade, we have honored individuals, businesses and organizations that have made a significant impact on issues related to conservation, water quality, climate change, trail connectivity and community advocacy.

We are so excited to honor the multigenerational Longyear family -- Kathy, Matt and Heather -- as our Ginsberg Award winners for 2026. They are one of the last remaining working farms in Woodstock continues to thrive, providing fresh food for the community while exemplifying land stewardship.

We're also excited to honor Zoe Keller as our inaugural Emerging Leader Award winner! Zoe is a gifted artist whose illustrations of wildlife have educated and inspired the community to save the forest from development. A nationally known illustrator who has also received international commissions, Zoe is an equally gifted advocate who serves as co-chair of the Stop Zena Development coalition.
