Ashokan Rail Trail Anniversary Walk & Ride

Join us for a celebration of the Ashokan Rail Trail with epic leaf peeping, three-piece string music in the style of Appalachian old-time by Witch Butter, a group walk/ride, and autumnal pies from Little Rye Bakehouse. Attendees will receive an exclusive publication honoring the history and ecology of the trail.

Please park at Onteora High School and shuttle over to the trailhead. Bicyclists are encouraged to bike from other trailheads.

Schedule of events

12 pm – 3 pm: Appalachian music by Witch Butter, plus pumpkin pie & festive beverages by Little Rye Bakehouse. Tables from the Ashokan Watershed Stream Management Program, SOAR, the Ashokan Rail Trail Stewards, and Woodstock Land Conservancy.

1 pm: Celebratory remarks

2 pm: Group ride, for bikers, handbikers, unicycles, & more

2:05 pm: Group ramble, for walkers, trackchair users, & more
