Stewardship Plan
- On May 10, 2011, the Town Board held a public meeting to discuss the draft Comeau Easement Stewardship plan. Here is the WLC statement in response to that 5/10/11 Town Board Meeting.

- As part of our July 2010 Comeau conservation easement informational meeting, we mentioned two examples of stewardship plans written for muncipal easements. The Amherst Nature View Park plan was sent to members of the Town Board in the summer of 2009, and resent in February 2010 to Terrie Rosenblum in her capacity as Town Board Comeau Stewardship Plan liasion. Here are those plans in their entirety:
Recent Comeau News
- On January 11, 2011, the Woodstock Town Board passed a resolution to hire a forester to perform tree clearing in the wooded area near the soccer fields on the Comeau property. This memo gives details as to the process and status of this project.
2009 Comeau Easement Violations
- The 2009 Comeau easement violations related to the upper parking lot expansion project were resolved on June 15, 2010 after an exchange of letters between the Town Board and the Woodstock Land Conservancy. This correspondence can be read below:

Information from WLC's periodic updates/informational meetings
- On July 24, 2010, WLC held a Comeau conservation easement informational meeting for the public at the Colony Café. We addressed basic information regarding land trusts and easements, specific issues regarding the Comeau Easement, and gave updates on the status of many Comeau property projects. The Powerpoint presentation can be seen here.
- We have also posted the handout from our Woodstock Town Board presentation, given July 20, 2010, which addresses many of the same Comeau property updates. This handout includes, in greater detail, our recommendation that the Town undertake a wetlands delineation on the Comeau property, as well as our recommendations for the Town-created Stewardship Plan.
Proposed Woodstock Soccer Club Field Expansion
- WLC met with Woodstock Soccer League officials in May 2010 to discuss aspects of preliminary expansion plans for the Comeau Soccer Fields. WLC provided this written summary to Town Officials.
Comeau Trails Task Force

The Comeau Conservation Easement
- The Comeau Easement was signed into law on November 16, 2009. The Deed of Conservation Easement and the Stewardship Amendment are available on our website. These are copies of the executed documents that were filed with the Ulster County Clerk.
