On November 16, 2009 the Town of Woodstock granted a conservation easement on the Comeau property to WLC. The easement maintains the current uses of the property, protects its natural features, and limits its future development. See the documents below to learn more. Upper Parking Lot Expansion Project - Phase 2
The latest project being explored at the Comeau propertyn is the second phase of the Upper Parking Lot expansion. Features of the expansion include new lighting and signage, among others. WLC anticpates receiving completed plans in the coming weeks. We will post correspondence about the project once it becomes available.
Western Soccer Field Expansion Project
On August 17, 2012, WLC informed the Town Board that the Town's plan to expand the western portion of the soccer field was in compliance with the conservation easement. Read WLC's letter to the Town Board pdf here .
On July 24, 2010, WLC held a Comeau conservation easement informational meeting for the public at the Colony Café. We addressed basic information regarding land trusts and easements, specific issues regarding the Comeau Easement, and gave updates on the status of many Comeau property projects. Comeau Stewardship-Management Plan
On September 13, 2011, the Woodstock Town Board adopted the Comeau Stewardship-Management Plan. The Plan describes how the property is to be used and maintained and includes various appendices on property management practices. See the Plan pdf here .
